Why Abil Sudarman Is Named in Complaint No. 068/ADUAN/RW/09/2026 (English Edition)
This post explains why I named Mr. Abil Sudarman as reported party T-3 in my public complaint to the Jakarta Regional Police (Polda Metro Jaya) dated 21 September 2026. It is my account, not a police finding or court judgment. I do not assert that he is guilty of any offence. The wider context is in the main post on Complaint No. 068.
Why I reported him
He is not named for anything I say he wrote about me, and I do not accuse him of the incident himself. He is named because of a link that I ask the police to examine.
- He was a listed speaker at the event. IdeaFest 2026's website lists him, as founder of ASSAI, in a session titled "Beyond Coding: Building a Career AI Can't Replace" from 14:20 to 15:20 WIB (Evidence E-1).
- A caption links the person who choked me to his team. I say that, at the event at the Jakarta Convention Center, an unknown person choked me. A screenshot I hold carries a caption describing that person as "Abil Sudarman's team". I do not know who wrote the caption, and I have not attached the screenshot here.
What I said the law may cover
The assault itself (Art. 466 of the new Criminal Code) is reported against the unknown person, whose identity I asked the police to investigate. As to Mr. Sudarman, I asked the police to examine whether that person acted on his instruction or with his knowledge, or whether he gave an opportunity or assistance (Arts. 20(c) and (d), and 21). The complaint does not claim that any of this is shown.
How strong I think this is
The complaint's own review rated this link as unproven. The caption comes from an unknown author, there is no date and no complete video, and a speaker's "team" at a conference is a loose concept. What the complaint actually does is ask for his statement.
Limits of this record

- The link between the unknown person and Mr. Sudarman rests on an unattributed caption, and I do not assert it is true.
