Legal Notice No. 048/SOMASI/RW/IX/2026: Andriy Hadinata and Ecommurz (English Translation of the Indonesian Letter)

This post summarises Somasi No. 048/SOMASI/RW/IX/2026, a formal legal notice I sent in Indonesian on 1 September 2026 to Mr. Andriy Hadinata and to Ecommurz. It replaces an earlier notice (No. 023/SOMASI/RW/IV/2026, 29 April 2026) that received no reply. This English edition summarises and translates it. It is a demand letter, not a police report, court filing or finding. Neither recipient has responded here, and I do not assert that either is guilty of any offence.

Who the letter went to

• Mr. Andriy Hadinata, a podcaster and the author of the book Generasi Zombie, whom I identified from public profiles as the only verified person openly connected with Ecommurz, and owner of the X account @giovani_andriy;
• Ecommurz, a business name running an Instagram account with hundreds of thousands of followers, a LinkedIn page, and the site murzfeed.com, publishing under labels such as "MurzOpinion," "MurzIntel Associate" and "MurzFeed's Official Bot";
• a copy to Penerbit Buku Kompas (Kompas Gramedia), the publisher of Mr. Hadinata's book, for its legal division's information.

I state that a search of the intellectual-property database showed no trademark registration for "Ecommurz," and that I found no public statement of a legal entity behind it (company name, deed, business licence or registered address). I note that this is my search and that I may have missed records.

What the letter says happened

Event 1: September 2023. Ecommurz published six editorial slides labelled "MurzOpinion," titled "Indonesian Ex-Intern Under Fire After Unauthorized Disclosure Online," about my case. In my reading they characterised my job loss as a "scandal" and an "unauthorized disclosure," claimed I had been warned several times before the firing, and claimed that some multinational firms were reconsidering early-career hiring "amidst the scandal" and that the issue "might've jeopardized the future of thousands of interns." I say these claims cannot be verified. A post on murzfeed.com named me in full alongside a "Layoff" label. The content was later amplified by a large HR-themed account, reaching about 163,400 views, and on 22 October 2023 Mr. Hadinata replied on his own account with a joke, "AWS-P (AWS Perjuangan)."

Event 2: about March 2026. After joining the Ecommurz community, I apologised for the earlier noise and told its moderators about my mental health condition, including that one thing that had depressed me was an Ecommurz post. I was then removed from the community. When another member expressed surprise, a moderator answered, in my rendering, that it was "karma." I read this as closing a community space to a person with a psychosocial disability who had just apologised in good faith.

The brand as authority. I argue that labels like "Intel," "Associate" and "Official Bot," together with the phrase "backed by reporting from top analysts and industry sources," gave the content a weight of factual and institutional authority, while Ecommurz is not a registered press company under the Press Law or subject to Press Council mechanisms, as far as I found.

I treat these as two separate events in time, not one continuing act.

Harm I described

Being labelled the cause of a "scandal" and of "damaged careers for thousands" before Indonesia's digital professional community; my full name attached to an "unauthorized disclosure" narrative on the platform's own site; blocked social and professional recovery through removal from the community; and continuing psychological pressure on top of my diagnosed bipolar disorder and about 1.5 years of social isolation.

The annex images above follow the order of the letter's evidence list (slides, the trademark database result, the murzfeed.com post, the amplifying thread, community conversations, and profile pages).

Legal basis I relied on

I wrote the letter myself, without a lawyer. It explains that the 2023 event predates the new Criminal Code (in force 2 January 2026), so older provisions formally apply with Arts. 433, 434, 436 and 441 of the new Code as normative equivalents, while the 2026 event falls directly under the new Code and Art. 29 jo. Art. 45B of the 2024 ITE Law. For Ecommurz it cites corporate criminal liability (Arts. 45–50 of the new Code), business licensing and trademark laws, and Civil Code Arts. 1365, 1366, 1367(3), 1372 and 1373.

What I demanded

By Friday, 4 September 2026, 17:00 WIB:

From Mr. Hadinata:

1. Stop all attacking statements at once, through his account or Ecommurz channels;
2. Delete the six "MurzOpinion" slides, the murzfeed.com post naming me, and his "AWS-P" joke;
3. Restore my access to the Ecommurz community;
4. Publish a public apology for at least 30 days;
5. Provide a stamped written undertaking not to repeat;
6. Pay IDR 1,500,000,000 in immaterial damages (twice the IDR 750,000,000 maximum fine under Art. 45B, for two events).

From Ecommurz (three days for a position statement, fourteen days for items needing audit):

1. A written position statement, withdrawal of the content and an institutional apology;
2. Disclosure of its legal form, deed, business licence, registered address and content owner, or an honest statement that it has no legal entity;
3. An internal audit of the use of its name, labels, platform and community regarding content about me;
4. A report to the authorities about Mr. Hadinata for alleged misuse of Ecommurz's assets and identity;
5. An end to content that commodifies people's misfortune and other workplaces' internal matters;
6. IDR 3,500,000,000 in compensation and institutional responsibility (IDR 2,000,000,000 as a proxy for alleged corporate liability, plus IDR 1,500,000,000), separate from Mr. Hadinata's;
7. Written results of items 2–5.

I offered settlement discussion by email. If unmet, I stated I would file two separate criminal reports against Mr. Hadinata (2023 and 2026), a civil suit, a corporate criminal liability request against Ecommurz and business-licensing complaints to the relevant agencies, a complaint to the book's publisher, and publish the notice with its evidence.
